The final show of the year, and an awsome morning to boot! Arron met us at my place and off we went to hook up with the Fletch and Shannon, and then Timmies to catch up with BigJohn.  It was a great drive down #24 too, very scenic the view of Bugs helped!

We arrived early so we got some spots up front, right under the sign I put up my awning i made the day before, chairs come out…base camp all set. Cars poured in quite quickly, all kinds too, 5 Pumas arrived, very nice to see that group keeping them alive in Ontario and hey! a Harlequin!

and a CLOWN! Who doesnt love a Clown!!

Amy was there along with the Roswells and Cherie, they worked the cash for cupcakes! Met some great  people from Brantford Volkswagen, got a T Shirt from the show, my only one this show season, and Gayle bought a few VW shirts too cant pass up that now can we. Chatted with Randy for a bit , his green Mk3 was beside my Bus so that was cool! People all over with familiar faces!

Speaking of familiar faces…or should i say teeth, LOL Rocky the weinerbeast , lurked around always looking fo’ trouble , well actually there was like a small wienerfest there Dachshunds o’ plenty! had to watch where you were walking , i even question my hotdog i was eating LOL couldnt resist there Amy!

Rocky is still a ladies man flirting with some hunny, see hes checking her out! or maybe its her!

Aaron puts on the A&W show in Guelph on Tuesdays and the final one was open class. Myself ,Fletch with our Bunnies,along with Garrett and BigJohn we filled a nice chunk of parking with the VW’s alongside Arrons Bug it was a nice warm night and had a great time Fletch’s ‘57 beetle won 2nd place overall!!! yeah baby! he got a nice mirror plaque Congrats Buddy!

On August 16th Andrew and myself toured off by ourselves to Brampton to check out Vagkraft for the first time, the whole expierience was lets just say…not the greatest. I went to registration and they didnt have mine,ok i can live with that. Didnt have a place for my WATERCOOLED Bus either, barely live with that. So i had to exhibit in an area with , a couple of Hondas and a Mercedes cant live with that WTF , Last time i looked VAG had nothing to do with those cars. even on vortex they get pics, Vanagon not so much. I also got a “Its only a Bus” comment from some ass. OK OK I get it ,ppl just dont like Vanagons. Anyways, lots of nice cars tho, and the slalom was fun to watch.

Thats my review on this show and I rate it 3 out of 5

On a happier note I did see Brian D with his Corrado, always fun to chat with him, we had fun with the Bikini girls LOL , I got pics of the Blond for ya Brian! see below.

Another year another Bugout, got up early  to get the Bus loaded up with cooler and chairs had a second coffee and in pulls the Fletchers ‘57, Amber and Garrett get to work on a quick clean on the GTX, test the 2ways and off we go! Gayle drove the Beetle, which was wierd as i have never actually seen it drive , that was cool . I got some good shots and video from the Bus as we made our way to Heidlberg

Gayle had some issues with the  Beetle the front beam lowered and the wheels rubbed on the fenders so after registration and a quick hello to Mikey! I parked the Bus and then the Beetle, both on really hilly areas (somethings never change at the KW show huh?) took me a few tries to get a good spot, no way! so i left it all cock-eyed and slanted, Kurt pulled up in his Vanagon and had even more trouble than i had but he got it up the hill and parked.

Ahhhhh a hot sunny summer day at a VW show! Got to see Amy with Rocky the weinerbeast!Cherie and Mr &Mrs Roswell hunkered down by their baywindow Bus (no snacks either, BAH!) caught up with Andy from Johns Bug Shop , he had a look at my beam was as perplexed as I was with it being so low offered to look at it if i cant fix it..love that JBS!

Brian was there aswell with his Corrado nice guy one day we will turbo that chair man!  so you can see all the cars. Garrett had his all shined up and 1 or 2 ppl looked at it LOL. Hey even my mom and Dad came to see the cars , yeah it spurred up memories, I could tell. We had some hotdogs and Beer! relaxed. Had to raz American Fred about drinking canadian beer!

Met up with Wayne and Caroline , always great to see them 2 ppl i really missed when i went on hiatus from shows, very proud Beetle owners and webmaster of allaircooled.com Wayne told me he got to drive Shilo (pop star) in his Bug for MMVA , how cool is that?! Time to go up to the Bus with the group for awards presentation. Our group did ok my Vanagon won first place, Ambers GTX won first place, Wayne and Carolines Bug won first place and Brians awsome Corrado also took  first place, what a great day!!! even American Fred won first for his awsome Type II sumpinorother! Congrats all!!!!!!!!!

and off to home we go!!

Pre- Bugout gtg

Gayle and I had a GTG at my place with Fletch , Shannon , Garrett and Amber, a night to relax clean cars and eat! Had to take a group shot first.

The heavy rain held out , thankfully as i had a pork roast on the rotisserie getting all happy and tasty. We chatted as Garrett cleaned his car for the show thats when the rain started , go figure , stopped as fast as it started so that was cool. Sat down for dinner , the roast was awsome, I must say!
As usual the guys slipped away and we talked VW , you know the usual .

Garrett took me for a drive in his GTX, well, lets just say V8’s are for grandmas , this car spits speed! 1 nice car ya got Garrett.
Was a bit too windy for a campfire but we got to see fireworks in the western sky just before we watched the ‘57 drive up the hill on its way home.

Ok well i was surfing around the new and found some news on the Routan..yeah that stupid excuse for a VW, VW is dicontinuing production , well in Windsor anyways. Sales have been poor LMAO ya think? VW gets another car company ( the crappiest car manufacturer that ever was) to build a van for them and they wonder why sales are so poor? VW, fire the ass who even thought of that idea . Chrysler hurt Daimler and put them in the whole by Billions,that shoulda been a clue, leave minivans to the rednecks now build the damn Microbus !!!
